These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things…

I’m going to begin my weekly post on My Favourite Things in the magical, wonderful, sparkly world of glitter!   I would go so far as saying glitter is my favourite colour – though not actually a colour – the effect it has on me is blinding. It lulls me into a dream-like happy mood….. I am a six year old girl at heart! The recent enough trend of glitter bombing ones enemy is lost on me. When I first heard about this I genuinely thought it was a joke. How is glitter scattered everywhere a bad thing?….People are strange!    Glitter is just the thing to brighten up a dull morning. For instance these unicorn sugar cookies I made for my office wouldn’t have been the same without their sparkly horns… That was a good Monday!   And oh! the joy I get when seeing a sneaky bit of glitter on someone’s face, unbeknownst to them, hilarious! Berry Bohemian Wedding Mood Board

This wedding mood board is all about luscious and lovely berry tones. The beautiful Autumn season means luscious berries are growing all over the countryside and what a nice theme for an Autumn boho style wedding. Paired with fresh florals and natural landscapes this look is simple and romantic… A flowing wedding dress with a simple gold head piece and jewelry would look stunning alongside bridesmaids in deep plums and lavender gowns. For your cake go for simple and rustic royal icing and festoon it with berries and flowers. Wedding invites with swirling gold calligraphy and a simple design would look gorgeous with a deep plum coloured envelope. For decor choose dark wooden tables with stone coloured napkins, delicate lace runners and gold cutlery…let the flowers and berries do the talking for the centre pieces. Nowadays Pinterest, Google and a good photo joining/ collage app are my tools of choice. I love to stick to a theme, any dinner party or celebration I have includes something themed, be it the food, colour scheme or the decor.   In my eyes every good event starts with a mood board or collage. To make a collage you need to do lots of looking. I usually make a Pinterest board with the title I want and add in anything I like the look of …
